CASTING FOR:

OLD MAN W/THE LAMP - (male 40-60's) the alchemical hermit, stoic and wise

OLD WOMAN - (female 40-60's) very strong female lead, provides consistent comic relief.. She's quite mad and talks to herself/the audience breaking the 4th wall

THE GREEN SNAKE - (female 20-50's) strong lead, versatile, must be well experienced in technical theater with some dance, clowning, or acrobatic type skills

FERRYMAN/Narrator - (male 30-50's) nice storyteller baritone voice is preferred

2 WILL-O-THE-WISPS - (male 20-40's) these two are "flaming" in every sense of the word.. glorious glowing divas (el wire). drag queen experience preferred, custom costume makers get bonus points

LILY - (female 18-30's) the fair Lily suffers alone in her garden where no fruit or flower is grown, anything living will perish by her touch but all are blessed to behold her beauty and hear her song.. a soprano singer, accompanied by harp or other stringed instrument preferred

YOUNG PRINCE - (male 20-30's) Lily's beloved with the proudest of blood  

SILVER KING - (male 25-40) tall, thin, & regal
